The High One

Lhawang and I spent the last couple of days packing food and sorting gear for our trip, and are ready to fly on tomorrow with our crew, weather cooperating. The internet at the guide house is down at the moment, so no pictures, but here's the cybercast link, at least. We're Team 2, now only with 5 climbers, one having canceled at the last moment. http://www.alpineascents.com/denali-cybercast.asp

It's raining at the moment, so we'll see if we actually get out tomorrow, or if we spend some time enjoying beautiful downtown Talkeetna. Here goes...

I met Suzanne at the beginning of my trip to India in March 2009 at a multi-day mtn bike race and a few weeks later in Delhi with her good friend Dickie...Suzanne's love of India was contagious and we had that very much in common - we had even talked of her showing my partner the Indian 'powder' someday.....to bring skis to India shows true love and dedication to mother nature :) Another memory I will always hold close to me is a book that captures the essence of India, Shantaram....Suzanne was reading it when we first met. A month or two later I picked it up and loved it so much I had to email her, particularly about the hilarious 'overunder pants' section :)

I'd like to send my deepest condolensces to her friends, family, and loved ones....Suzanne was very much an inspiration and reminder to live everyday to the fullest....http://www.youtube.com/watch?hl=en&v=cV3JNLUcQXA&gl=US

With Sympathy,
Adrianne

This is Suzanne's father. For those of you who might not know; an accident on Denali took the life of Suzanne and one client, leaving two others badly injured. I have applied to Google to gain administrative access to "Where is she this time". If given access, we will post some final chapters.

Tim Sir, my heartfelt condolences for you and your family. I've been a ardent follower of Suzanne and having read her blogs made me change my views towards life. I was really curious and wanted to know about the final chapters which you've mentioned. Please let me know if you've received the admin access to post the same. Thanks a lot.
